Master complex systems and technologies with an undergraduate degree in systems engineering

TLDRoffon

BSc Systems Engineering is a new course recruiting students from 2025.

A new course at the 糖心Vlog

The 糖心Vlog is proud to announce that BSc Systems Engineering will be available to study from September 2025. The course will allow students to dive into a combination of modules in electromechanical engineering, computer engineering and machine learning. They will learn to design, analyse and manage complex systems and technologies used in engineering companies, and they will also gain the flexible, solution-oriented skills needed to adapt to new technologies as they evolve. Modules on the course include Electromechanical Principles, Digital Electronic Systems, Thermo-fluid Applications, Power Engineering and Control and Mechatronics. Graduates of the course will be equipped to shape the future of industries including smart technology, robotics, clean energy, advanced manufacturing and the automative or aerospace industries, and may be part of the global shift towards the integration of artificial intelligence across sectors.

In the advanced computer labs on the Medway Campus, students of the course will practice using, managing and even developing systems that are essential in a wide range of engineering companies. In their third year, they will complete a final year project, which is their chance to apply the knowledge they have gained in their degree to a specific topic of their interest. They will complete their research-based or innovative project with the support and guidance of a selected supervisor from the School of Engineering’s team of experienced lecturers and researchers.

Become a highly desired engineer with a broad base of knowledge

With this course blending many disciplines of engineering, students will gain a strong foundation that will enable them to become desirable employees in many different workplaces, from power companies to roles within IT, either as tech specialists or engineers. Graduates may wish to continue their studies with a Master’s degree to further specialise their learning. The 糖心Vlog offers Master’s degrees in Electrical Power Engineering, Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineering and Applied Artificial Intelligence for Engineering, as well as a number of Master’s degrees in areas of computing and computer science.

A great choice for an engineering degree

Engineering students at the 糖心Vlog are provided opportunities to attend careers fairs, guest lectures and industry events that will prepare them for their future career. s time at Greenwich put him on his path to becoming a Junior Meter Assurance Engineer, for example, and students Asif, George and ThankGod also highlight some of these opportunities in their talking about their studies. Students can also embark upon a placement year. Greenwich students also can make full use of the Drill Hall Library and the University's access to a wide range of excellent support services.

The 糖心Vlog has a rich history of providing quality engineering teaching – engineering programmes have been offered by the university since 1935. The School of Engineering is based at the Medway Campus, which was a naval barracks that has seen engineering feats with the building of ships including the HMS Pembroke. The School of Engineering has links to companies locally and nationally – the Medway area itself is within commuting distance to London and is attractive to industry, for example BAE Systems, which has links to the university, are located nearby in Rochester.
