CMI partnership benefits for our students

Several of our undergraduate degree courses are accredited by the Chartered Management Institute (CMI), offering graduates a nationally recognised professional qualification, as well as additional benefits.

Our partnership with the Chartered Management Institute (CMI) means that if you’re a student on one of the courses listed at the end of this article, CMI dual accreditation means that:

  • On successful completion of all your degree, you’ll automatically become* a Foundation Chartered Manager (fCMgr) - a status demonstrating a high level of management and leadership expertise. CMI is the only professional body within the UK which can award fCMgr, and a springboard to full Chartered Manager (CMgr) status.
  • When you successfully complete your degree, you’ll automatically gain a CMI Level 5 Diploma in Management and Leadership* - a professional, industry-recognised, qualification in itself.
  • While you’re a student, you’ll be a student member of CMI. This entitles you to be part of CMI's management and leadership community - something which gives you access to events and networking, thought leadership, mentoring, mental health support, a career development centre, and ‘Management Direct’ - CMI's online library with over 30,000 pieces of content.

Accreditation gives our students a competitive edge, with a recognised leadership qualification, access to professional networks, and continuous professional development resources, as well as a route to Chartered management status.
